Let’s delve into my work for Maggi once again, where I had the privilege to design the landing page for Maggi Colombia’s master website. While the user flow was predefined by the client, my role involved shaping the brand’s graphic guidelines into a design that captured the essence of Maggi. This landing page aimed to be the face of Maggi in Colombia, incorporating key sections defined by the client.
The design process revolved around bringing the client’s vision to life. The challenge was to align the brand’s graphic elements with a design that encapsulated the essence of Maggi, serving as the primary representation in Colombia.
The client emphasized the central role of images throughout the design. Consequently, I integrated visuals as the primary focus, ensuring that they resonated with Maggi’s identity.
Despite concerns about the brand’s font lacking accessibility principles, the client’s requirement was clear. The primary font had to be adhered to. Balancing the specific brand guidelines while preserving my design principles became a challenge that I embraced by giving them some extra contrast and boldness.
The final design included structured sections as per the client’s vision: A vibrant banner showcasing posted recipes, inviting users into the culinary world of Maggi. The “La receta del mes” spotlighting new Maggi products, creating a focal point for users, with a special emphasis on Maggi de la Huerta (work that you can see later in my portfolio) A marketplace section, seamlessly integrated to enhance user experience.
The design aimed not only to meet the client’s requirements but to engage users effectively. The structured sections and emphasis on visuals contributed to an inviting and immersive user experience.
